Governance Architecture & Institutional Framework

ISFI’s governance is founded on clear principles of integrity, accountability, and transparency, aligned with internationally recognised good governance practices.

Drawing on universal governance standards, ISFI is committed to ethical leadership, independent oversight, and clearly defined roles that ensure accountability across all programs and initiatives.

ISFI’s structure, pathways, and programs are developed, governed, and continuously evolved under proprietary institutional frameworks and governance protocols designed to ensure:

  • Integrity and accountability

  • Consistency across programs and competitions

  • Long-term sustainability and institutional credibility


ISFI operates under a defined governance architecture that includes:

  • Governance Charter outlining central governing mandates, byelaws, principles, and operational frameworks

  • Oversight and accountability mechanisms supporting responsible decision-making

  • Independent operational execution aligned with institutional objectives

This architecture enables ISFI to function as a credible governing institution focused on long-term impact rather than short-term outcomes.


Standards and Compliance

ISFI is committed to upholding the highest standards in sport and aligns its programs and competitions with internationally recognised best practices.

We follow:

  • International Olympic Committee (IOC) procedures

  • International Cricket Council (ICC) regulations

  • World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) guidelines

This ensures governance integrity, athlete welfare, and competition credibility across all ISFI programs.

Our Role in the Sporting Ecosystem

ISFI does not exist to replace existing federations, associations, or governing bodies. Instead, we strengthen the wider sporting ecosystem by creating clear and structured pathways, enhancing connectivity, and unlocking opportunities where unclear systems leave athletes, clubs, and communities underserved.

In today’s sporting landscape, fragmented pathways and disconnected systems often leave talent unrecognised, unseen, access and opportunities limited. ISFI addresses these gaps as an independent, globally aligned platform, empowering athletes, clubs, communities, partners, corporate stakeholders, and institutions.

Governing Council & Advisory Engagement

Governance and advisory engagements at ISFI are structured to provide long-term institutional stewardship, strategic direction, and independent oversight, in alignment with ISFI’s governing mandate. 

ISFI’s Governing Council and Advisory roles are governance-led, strategic, and institution-building engagements, focused on strengthening ISFI as a credible, independent, and globally aligned sporting institution.


Scope of Engagement

These roles focus on:

  • Long-term stewardship of ISFI’s vision, mandate, and institutional direction

  • Policy formulation, governance oversight, and institutional credibility

  • Strategic guidance aligned with global best practices in sport, governance, and development


Engagement & Alignment Criteria

Governance and advisory engagement with ISFI are based on:

  • Alignment with ISFI’s institutional vision, values, and long-term objectives

  • Demonstrated leadership, governance, management, or domain expertise

  • Commitment to ecosystem development and long-term sporting impact

  • Experience in voluntary, non-profit, NGO, humanitarian, CSR, institutional, or high-impact initiatives (regarded and viewed as highly beneficial + high value contributors)

  • Highly transferable skill sets and cross-functional strategic capabilities (regarded as highly beneficial + valuable)


Expression of Interest

Senior leaders, domain experts, institutional contributors, and strategic partners wishing to engage with ISFI at a governance or advisory level may submit an Expression of Interest outlining:

  • Leadership, governance, or senior management experience

  • Strategic, policy, or institutional contribution areas

  • Cross-functional capabilities and institutional or sectoral experience

  • Business acumen, ecosystem-building experience, or partnership leadership (where relevant)

  • Experience with high-impact, voluntary, CSR, institutional, or mission-driven initiatives

  • Alignment with ISFI’s long-term vision, values, and governing mandate
